Electronics Verification service for buyers

All terms related to the Electronics Verification service will apply once it launches. 

The Electronics Verification service is an optional paid service for buyers to check the functionality, condition, and authenticity of selected electronic devices that they purchase. 

When the service is purchased for an item, the seller sends it to a verification hub where our partners test and verify it. After the device is successfully verified, it’s forwarded from the verification hub to the buyer for delivery. However, if the item fails verification, it is returned to the seller. 

As a seller, you’ll see if your device model is eligible for verification when uploading or editing your listing. Buyers can see the Electronics Verification badge and banner on listings that are eligible for verification, as well as the cost of the service.  

Buyers pay for the service, so sellers aren’t charged anything if the service is selected at the checkout. The cost for the service will be announced on the launch date.
