Selling basics

Important

For your best experience and safety, be sure to never leave Vinted throughout the trading process and when chatting to other members. It includes everything you need to sell successfully — from tracked and compensated shipping to verified reviews from real buyers, and support if things don’t go as expected.

Also, please note that our Terms and Conditions do not allow Pro sellers to receive payments outside Vinted (payments not made via the "Buy now" button) for items listed on Vinted.

1. List your items for sale

See what you can sell on Vinted.
Follow our instructions on how to upload an item.

There are no fees for selling on Vinted, and you can list as many items as you like.

If you don’t want to use specific carriers to ship your items, adjust your shipping options.
If you’re a Pro seller, provide clear additional policies.

Note

Once you upload an item, it might get screened automatically to go through a standard check to make sure it follows our Catalogue Rules and guidelines for selling. Normally, it takes up to 1 minute, but in some cases, it can take up to 3 or 4 days.

2. Increase your chances to sell

3. Sold! It’s time to ship the item

Pack your item securely.
Send the item within 5 business days after it’s bought (unless the buyer agrees to extend this deadline). Otherwise the order will be cancelled automatically and the buyer will be refunded.
Use the shipping option your buyer has chosen to avoid any issues with parcel tracking or even cancelled orders.
You can track your parcel in the conversation screen with the buyer.
If it’s your first sale, don’t forget to activate your Vinted Balance in order to receive the payment when the order is completed.
We also recommend taking photos of the item and the packed parcel (inside and outside) before shipping. If the buyer reports any issues during transit, these photos may help resolve the issue faster.

4. Delivered! Get your earnings and leave feedback

If everything is OK, or if an issue is raised and resolved, the order is completed. You will receive your payment within 2 days. The payment will move from “Pending balance” to “Available balance.”
You can use your earnings in “Available balance” to pay on Vinted, or you can withdraw the money to your bank account.
Money withdrawals may take up to 5 business days to appear in your bank account.
Leave feedback to your buyer and help build trust within the community.

Good to know

If you close an empty locker compartment and cannot resend the item using the same label, you need to cancel the order. Please explain what happened to the buyer, and ask them to buy that item again so a new label will be generated.
To build a trusted profile and reassure your buyers, add your profile picture and verify your account.
If you ever experience any improper behaviour, harassment or spam activities from other members, we encourage you to report them so we can put a stop to it immediately.
