A LITTLE BIT ABOUT WHO WE ARE...
Leicestershire Wildlife Hospital is a charity based in Kibworth, Leicestershire who specialise in the rescue, rehabilitation and release of sick, injured and orphaned wildlife.
We admit all types of British wildlife from all over Leicestershire and surrounding areas too. These animals arrive into our care after being found by members of the public, local veterinary centres, the RSPCA, police and more.
We receive no government funding so rely entirely on donations. Our running costs are around £10,000 a month which covers food, bedding, veterinary bills, electricity and waste disposal. Additional funding is required to buy lifesaving equipment, maintain our enclosures and to expand our facilities.
We have a team of over 80 volunteers who assist with caring for the animals, fundraising, maintenance and gardening. We also have a team of over 100 volunteer drivers who assist when an injured animal has been found, but no transport it available.
Each year, we admit around 3,000 wild animals to the centre. Our charity is imperative in ensuring these animals receive help.
Anything for sale under our Vinted account is raising money for the Hospital.
